Air Rifle training part C and D 20 April 2011

Our Part C's and D's were the first to try out the Air Rifle Range when opened for the first time since many years!

Part A-C cadets participated in our Bartley NCC (LAND & AIR) CIP project on Saturday 9th April 2011!

Cadets were divided into their various platoons. A few part Cs took over as platoon leaders and led their team to venture into our neighbourhood to collect old newspapers and clothing.

This is a fund-raising project for our India Service Learning Trip in June 2011!

At the end of the activity, everyone had to do a reflection on what they have learnt about themselves, their friends and the community etc.

i noe some of you guys just took it as walking...

just take note some things about marching:
- lock your arms...
- 90degrees...45degrees
- DON't drag your boots...

the orienteering lesson looks quite bored to you guys...
as we are preparing you guys for spec course next year...

- you guys really need to work on your discipline... :(
- arms drills is not just a normal thing to do...
it requires lots of discipline,understanding and teamwork to excecute it as one...

CIP project "Tree of Life" 22nd MAY 2009

Through this project, Bartley NCC land cadets got to know more about the physically disabled people.
We learnt that these people are still able to contribute to the society despite their disabilities. And through their commitment to recycling and saving the earth, we learnt that recycling is very important and we can all do our part in saving the earth.
The next time we see a plastic bottle, we should recycle them instead of throwing them into a bin.
The next time we use paper, we should make sure that both sides are used before throwing them into the recycling bin.
The next time we go shopping, we should always minimize the use of plastic bags and use our own carriers.
If everyone would just play a small part, we could save the earth together.

22nd MAY 2009 -- BARTLEY NCC LAND CIP project

ALL CADETS are reminded to collect 20 plastic bottles (min. of 500ml) for the project.

Bottles are to be cleaned and wiped dry, both interior and exterior.

Bottles are to be handed in to the respective PART teachers before 22nd MAY itself.

CAMP TIES 13-15 MAR 2009

This year, Bartley NCC Land held a unit camp for the cadets -- CAMP TIES 2009.

The objective of this camp was to get the cadets to bond together and form TIES that will last. Some highlights of the camp would be the URBAN OPERATIONS, AMAZING RACE, ENDURANCE NIGHT, CADET NIGHT & MINI-MAN performance.

The cadets would definitely not forget that before every meal, they had to do a pull-up in order to proceed to the makan session.

I am sure that it was also the first time that they had to wash their own dishes and make their own milo-O to drink.

On 17th April 2009, Bartley Unit set out for NCC HQ for one of their weekly training.

The cadets were divided into 3 groups to play PAINTBALL, MOTIVATIONAL OBSTACLE COURSE and ARCHERY in a round-robin manner. All the cadets had fun in the different stations and all these thanks to the help of our NCC counterparts in HQ.

Everyone was tired at the end of the day, but it was worthwhile as we see the smiles on the cadets' faces.
